After hours and hours of scouring magazines and the web for ideas… voila! My first sketch of the new kitchen – without regard to the sizing of the cabinets and appliances (and the budget), but this is “the look” I wanted… was thinking a classic white kitchen with marble counter tops and glass fronts on some of the cabinets. Next up, the reality check. We make the trip to kitchen design centers to start estimating a budget.

The tiny galley kitchen was so tight, I had to take one photo at a time (no wide angle lense) and assemble them together in Photoshop. My husband called it the “one-butt kitchen.” Everything from floor to ceiling was outdated and needed a new life. This is not our stuff, by the way. This is how the Realtor showed the house.
